With two decades of extensive experience in the grain trading industry, Brandon Gutzmann embodies a rare fusion of global and domestic expertise. He has navigated the complexities of markets worldwide, cultivating a nuanced understanding of trade dynamics that few possess.
Having built a career characterized by strategic foresight and operational excellence, his wealth of knowledge serves as the cornerstone of our trading business. Brandon is adept at understanding and navigating the complexities of the food and feed markets, all while serving his customers with integrity and trust.
Liz Onderstal serves as Director of Operations and Finance, bringing a strong background in banking, accounting, financial operations and administrative management. Her experience in the financial services and grain industries has given her a well-rounded understanding of organization, process management and the importance of accuracy and reliability in business operations.
Known for her attention to detail, organization and ability to create efficient systems, Liz manages invoicing, payments, administrative functions and operational support while helping ensure The Gutzmann Company continues to operate with consistency and integrity.
As Director of Communications + Strategy, Katie Gutzmann brings more than 20 years of marketing experience to the team. Most of that time has been spent helping small businesses and agri-businesses tell their story clearly and connect with the people they serve. She knows rural communities and how decisions get made on the farm. She also knows that good communication starts with listening.
In her role, Katie leads the company's messaging, brand and outreach. That includes marketing strategy, corporate communications and meaningful events that bring farmers, customers and carriers to the table. Her goal is to keep every conversation straightforward and honest, so the people who work with us always know who we are and what we stand for.
Jake Schuster is the Trade Operations Specialist at The Gutzmann Company, where he plays an important role in keeping grain transactions moving smoothly from purchase to sale.
Jake manages the day-to-day details of grain trade operations, including recording buying and selling activity, entering load information, and creating Bills of Lading for both trucks and rail cars. His attention to detail helps ensure that every load is accurately documented and the grain trading process stays organized and on track.
