Current Opening:

Grain Originator + Logistics Coordinator

Position Overview: We are seeking a relationship-driven professional to support our grain origination and truck logistics efforts. This role is focused first on developing farmer relationships, sourcing grain and identifying origination opportunities, while also coordinating the truck dispatch needed to move contracted grain efficiently from farm to customer.

Location: In Pender, Nebraska Office or Remote
Reports to: Director of Grain Trading + Logistics

Primary Responsibilities - Grain Origination:

  • Build and maintain relationships with organic, non-GMO and specialty grain producers.

  • Make regular producer calls to identify grain availability, open offers and new origination opportunities.

  • Communicate company bids, market opportunities, delivery windows and contract terms.

  • Work directly with the Director of Grain Trading and Logistics to source grain that matches customer demand.

  • Follow up on contracts, deliveries and future marketing opportunities with producers.

Primary Responsibilities - Logistics + Dispatch:

  • Coordinate and dispatch trucks for contracted grain movements.

  • Communicate with farmers, carriers, drivers, customers and internal team members regarding schedules.

  • Track loads and proactively address freight or delivery issues.

  • Build relationships with dependable carriers and owner-operators.

  • Gain hands-on exposure to freight economics, grain margins, customer needs and trading strategy.

What we are looking for:

We are looking for someone who is competitive, organized, relationship-driven, comfortable on the phone, and willing to take ownership. Agriculture, grain, trucking, logistics, or commodity experience is helpful, but strong communication, follow-through and a desire to learn the grain business are equally important.

This is not simply a dispatch position. The role is designed to develop into a larger grain origination and merchandising opportunity for the right person as they gain market knowledge, build a producer network and take on more responsibility.

How to apply:

Interested candidates should email their cover letter and resume to Brandon Gutzmann, Director of Grain Trading and Logistics, by September 30, 2026.
